EXPECTATION: Whitespace does not insert itself above tables. When I set up tables (and I have been making a LOT of use of them) a huge chunk of whitespace generates above the table, usually equivalent to the number of rows in the table.
Create Table - at least 3 columns and 5 rows seems to be enough to trigger it Save article Switch to source Switch back to WSYIWYG 5 lines of whitespace have appeared above the table. Repeated switching may spawn more.

Also, hilariously, my formatting went super weird on this report. Here's the rep steps in a more readable format: Create Table - at least 3 columns and 5 rows seems to be enough to trigger it Save article Switch to source Switch back to WSYIWYG 5 lines of whitespace have appeared above the table. Repeated switching may spawn more.
Update to the above, refreshing the page also causes the whitespace to appear. Issue appears to persist cross browser in incognito as well. There is also an issue mentioned in this Reddit thread that may further pinpoint the source of the issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldAnvil/comments/jye0p1/help_with_formatting/
Please refer to the answer I gave to the previous bug regarding this.

There isn't a need for the tables to be interactive in the cases of my articles, they're just for neatly displaying information. Is there an intended fix for this in a future release, or is having us all use interactive tables in place of BBCODE ones the solution the team has decided on? That seems like it'd bring about a lot of unnecessary server strain. And if it's intended to /be/ the solution, will there be an easy way to update non-interactive tables to interactive ones and create them from within the Plato editor?
This bug is still present as of 10/03/2024. Workaround is a workaround and not a solution to this bug. It should be re-opened.
There were also several other reports since, but I'd need to go digging to get them. As much as I wish they'd reopen my report, I'm not confident they will. :(
