When making a secret for an article I am unable to assign subscriber groups to them because the dropdown for that input field is missing. The article is set to private (it is my world's default setting). I managed to get it to work once by randomly clicking around the field but have been unable to replicate it.
Hello AnxiousArachnid This is quite an odd one. This system has not been touched for months and nobody has reported something similar to that. Trying to replicate it I cannot in any way and there is no condition in the code that would make the sub groups selector not appear. Considering this the only thing I can think that might cause this would have been a local to your computer plugin on your browser going haywire. Just to clarify
Running it in a private browser I could get it working. From a bit of testing it looks like it's an issue with the types of extensions that deal with privacy concerns. The biggest problem seems to be Duck Duck Go's Privacy Essentials, but anything that deletes tracking cookies seems to at the very least make the space you have to click in smaller for some reason. Sorry for bothering you. I do tend to get the rarest of bugs, it's just what the universe has decided is my lot in life. I just have to laugh at the irony that in order to make secrets I have to turn privacy off .
it is all good i am glad we figured it out
