When you click the + Article button on a template that includes text in the custom content box, then follow the prompts to quickly make the article and then go to the full editor, that article loads blank without the template text and cannot have the template text added to it unless it is manually retyped or copy/pasted.
Click Path: + Article (lower right hand corner) > Choose any custom template with text in the Content Box > Follow prompts to create article > Content box will be empty when you go to the full editor NOTE: If you click the arrow next to the template name, this will take you to the full editor and that does include the template text. This issue reproduces after a full cache clear and with no addons active in Firefox 124. Didn't test in Chrome, didn't see any console errors in devtools at first blush in FF.
Thank you so very much for reporting - We will be investigating and fixing this ASAP.
Thanks! It's actually been around for a while now, I just didn't see any other reports so I figured it was my cache at first.
Hi T. Mystery, this has been fixed. Can you confirm it works for you?
Retested in Firefox with a clear cache and all addons removed - sadly, there's now a new bug. :( When I type in the category field to actually select a category ("Story Events" to be specific) the whole UI seems to crash and vanish. A refresh usually fixes that, luckily! I ran a console query, not sure if it'll help you much but worth checking out! Figured out the console query messages, feel free to disregard them, I forgot I had NoScript back on. And the category/search bug seems to be unrelated. Custom templates are now pulling in the + Article button!
Thanks for the response!
