Quick create won't create an article if Athena is open

While writing an article in Athena, I wanted to quickly create a stub so I could link to it. I opened the pop-up quick create, selected a template, named the article, but it wouldn't save. The bottom bar also didn't work correctly - some buttons like old edit and view in world didn't do anything, while the styling menu showed the wrong article, but +prompts was correct. Closing the quick create pop-up confirmed the article was not created.   Other methods to create an article work fine:

  • Using any method to create an article within Athena (green hammer button, + and +article buttons).
  • Using the chevron menu to create in the full-page/old edit.
  • Closing Athena and using any method.
None of these options are ideal for this use case since they all navigate you away from the article you're working on. The goal is to quickly create the mention link to insert.   I'm using Vivaldi browser (chromium-based). I've tried a hard refresh and various article templates to the same result, but haven't tried a full log out and cache clear because I really just want to work on my WE articles :(

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Athena and begin editing an article.
  2. Use alt+n or the chevron menu to open quick create and select a template.
  3. Name the new article, choose a category for it, add content, etc. and it will not save or create the article.
