Article creation popup not saving when opened from "create any content" button

Per the title, I recently went to create an article. I (admittedly by mistake - I meant to use the "create article" button instead) clicked on the "create any content" button on the right sidebar, and then selected 'generic' for my article category.   The resultant editor popup would not auto-save any changes, and there was no manual save button present to mitigate this. In addition, the button to go to the old version edit also had no effect when clicked.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Click on "Create any content" button
  • Click on "generic" article type
  • Make any changes, such as banner or text
  • Click anywhere that would minimize the editor, bringing up the save warning dialog
