I seem to be able to crash the website not just for me but for everyone by uploading an image to replace an existing image. When I say "crash the website for everyone" I mean, 503's in different browsers, shows as down in downforeveryoneorjustme.com, and so on. I can't rule out this being a coincidence without more attempts, and I am unwilling to make additional attempts since it is potentially impacting for other users. This feels similar to the backend application crashing and taking a few minutes to recover, with reverse proxy returning 503s while it can't connect. A workaround is to just upload a new image and delete the old one. If the 503's today (jan 27) have a known cause that is different than this feel free to disregard as I have probably been fooled by the coincidence.

First of all - let me put your mind at ease - today's issue was not due to you - there has been a DDoS attack. Now, how big was the file and what was its size?
Ah that's good to hear thank you. I tried again and I think you must be correct that it was due to the DDoS attack because it worked perfectly this time. Sorry for the bother I think this can be closed.
No worries at all - and I am so very glad to hear it - Have a wonderful day/evening!
