When creating an event on the timeline, in the description field each letter I type/delete kicks off the autosave but I am finding that it is rolling back a few characters. This is especially noticeable when deleting characters, you hit backspace, the autosave runs and puts the character/s back.
Create a entry on the timeline, settings I used were: Importantce - Important/National Display range in header = yes event privacy = public Type into the description field and letters end up missing. Backspace/delete characters and they get put back after autosave.
I'm getting this too, makes typing a slog.
Also occurs using Chrome on an iPad.
This happens to me too when I type fast. Usually it only saves when I stop typing for a moment, but sometimes it triggers 10+ autosaves while typing and then it keeps deleting / adding text as it saves between keystrokes. Only way is to wait until the system is done with the saving.
This is occurring for me as well on Oprea
Also experiencing this. I now write everything I want to put into an event in a separate document first and then paste it in as a workaround, on chrome w/ Windows 11
This happens when you exactly sync with the autosave delay (1 second). If this autosave "cascade" begins you can just stop typing for a couple of seconds and the system should catch up. In the mean time I will work on a different implementation of the autosave that will hopefully eliminate the problem.
I have deployed a fix that stops the loss of the last few characters typed. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for the repeated autosaves yet, but it should not affect you anymore. Go ahead and give it a try and let me know if this works for you.
I am closing this bug report, as I have had no response in two weeks. Feel free to message me here with any update.
