Many BBCode tags don't save within BBCode tables

I have a BBCode table, and I'd like to apply some simple formatting (italics) to some cells. I add the appropriate BBCode tag to the contents of a cell and save. Then go to view the results, and I don't see the updated formatting. I return to the editor and the BBCode tags are missing. Other changes on the same edit are applied.   I've tested the [i], [b], [u], [sub], and [sup] tags; they all behave the same way. The [section] tag does work.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create the following table in any article:   [table] [tr][td][i]text[/i][/td][/tr] [/table]
  2. Save the article
  3. View the article. Note that "text" is not italicized.
  4. Edit the article. Note that the [i] and [/i] tags are missing.

It definitely works in the Euclid editor. Are you adding the BBCode with the keyboard or by clicking the toolbar? If you are just using the mouse then that would be the issue. In order to save you need to press a keyboard key.   Or it might be that you are usingt Plato, then it is possible that BBCode in BBCode tables doesn't work properly, but that is expected.

Okay, I'm pretty certain it's the mouse thing. I would presume that the "Save Changes" button would save my changes no matter what though. Is that a known issue?
