If you use the normal editor (not source) all table rows will be pushed further and further down each time one opens the article, creating huge gaps.
Create a table (maybe 2colums, 5 rows), fill it out, save and close article editor. Open editor again, watch as rows get pushed down.
Hello there :) Please make sure you read the BBcode guide on tables. This happens because you are leaving spaces between columns/rows. Removing those will remove
No, it's not fixed, but I just realized I maybe worded it wrong (sorry!). The spaces are ABOVE the tables. It keeps happening after I edit the article twice. I cannot post pictured here anymore, but I tested again, deleted all spaces and line breaks in the article and saved. Lookes fine the first time. I reopen the article and there are line breaks, ok. Save again, lookes fine. Edit it a third time and there is a MASSIVE gap above the table (https://www.worldanvil.com/w/ur-mikikatze/a/religion-und-magie-article), even though I didn't edit anything in that table, only saved the artice.
This is the code I pasted into the editor for the article above, before I just use the RTE to just edit some text below the table and save twice:
Ildar | Gottheit des Feuers |
Isear | Gottheit des Wassers |
Vindar | Gottheit der Luft |
Haugar | Gottheit der Erde |
Stigar | Gottheit des Lichts |
Duunar | Gottheit der Dunkelheit |
Livar | Gottheit des Lebens |
Dodar | Gottheit des Todes |
Namenslos | Gottheit der Leere |
I just realized this did not work haha. I there a way I can show it with pictures?
Hi, a issue being closed does not necessarily mean that it has been fixed. This issue has two parts. The first is that empty lines within a table BBCode generate line spacers above or below the table in the presentation. This can be fully mitigated by removing empty lines. The second issue is that the Plato editor introduces spaces when editing tables in some cases. This issue will not be fixed as the Plato editor will be removed in the future. If you run into this issue switch to the Euclid editor or enable source mode first for Plato.
