When opening articles in edit mode in the new Athena viewer, articles will save, resulting in them being put to the top of the recently edited list. Occasionally (such as after a hard-refresh of the page), the first article to be opened will not prompt a save, but all subsequent articles will trigger an auto-save ~1 second after opening. These erroneous "edits" clutter the recently edited list and making rereading older work for continuity/refresh more complicated.
This will have an impact on articles after a competition like Summer Camp and World Ember closes.
Hey guys - this was the case but we fixed it days ago.
I cannot replicate this behaviour any longer - can you?
Which editor are you using?
This behaviour is definitely still occurring for me (I would not have made the report otherwise, and no updates have been published since I submitted it). I use the Euclid advanced editor
This is related with the fact that the "display all prompts" feature is activated. We are working to fix this but you can always disable it to fix it temporarily
Glad to hear you've narrowed in on what feature is impacting this! Unfortunately, I already had that feature disabled before I made the report, and re-disabling it hasn't had an impact. I'll look forward to the fix in future :)
Isaac, I took the liberty to run some tests to your account and I can confirm that on our end this is not happening.
Can you please try to access your account via incognito mode or another browser?
The edit saves continue to occur in an incognito Firefox window, but didn't occur when I tried it on Edge. I'm not currently sure what possible combination of browser settings and win11 fuckery is causing it to occur in Firefox for me, but at least I know there is a (very unideal) workaround.
