Apprentice Enchantment Spell ( Arcane, Primal )
Description:
You point at the natural grass and growth within a 5-foot beneath a target. Using chao and the sympathy of the ground, you spin whirl you hands up causing your weave to envelop the target. Depending on the source, arcane or rapidly growing thorny vines reach from the ground and attempt to grapple the creature . Compare your weaving check result against thier agility defense. If you succeed, and for every 3 points you exceed thier defense, a vine grapples the target (up to 6). Multiple castings of this spell do not create more vines than this limit unless augmented (see Enbind below).
Grappling from these vines behaves as normal, and the opposed DC for the target's Athletics or Coordination check is equal to 10 + your proficiency (if capable or better with this spell) + your casting attribute's modifier. Upon success, a vine drops releases the target and vanishes. For each incriment that the target exceeds the DC to break free of the grapple, an additional vine releases from the target. Vines removed in this way do not harm the target.
An ally adjacent to the target may choose to attack the vines (AC 11) instead of the creature being bound. Upon a successful hit, the vine is cut and deals 1d12 points of force damage to the grappled creature. Once cut, the vine vanishes. Once all vines are removed, the effects of this spell end.
