Notes
Briony Aster AKA Tuttle McGuffin was born in a well to do family of clerics of the dead. They were being prepared to study in a Clergy in their youth along with their siblings. They showed a great aptitude for magic, and a magnetic personality. Briony's best friend and brother Wren spent most of their time together. Until the unforeseeable death of Wren, while they were playing together outside of their parents property Wren accidentally fell to his death. Moments after Wren's death, Briony felt reasonable and couldn't face their family, so they ran away from home immediately at age 12. They followed a road to a neighboring city and became and urchin until they were found by Rae Tuttle a merchant who owned the Waxing Moon Tavern. Rae was also an orphan growing up and felt empathy for Briony and took them in to learn the merchant trade. They bonded very quickly, and became family. Briony was a natural at the business, great with customers, story telling, mixing drinks, and bringing joy everywhere they went. Their wit, kindness, and humor could melt the hearts of even the roughest of customers. Briony, being totally androgynous and stunning, with long flowing hair and an unforgettable smile drew a lot of attention and even more customers. But little did the city folk know her true identity, and even more intriguing being followed by her brother's ghost. Wren loves his sibling so dearly, he couldn't pass over to the other side. Wren decided to stay by Briony's side, and most cannot see or hear him. Briony still cares his death as their responsibility and harbors immense guilt, even though Wren does not blame them. Briony decided not to tap into her clerical abilities besides to see and hear their brother. After some time, Rae dies leaving their adopted child the Tavern. Briony mourns but carries on, and runs the business well with their best friend Biff. Briony wants to live a simple life, until meeting Fitzhugh who inspires them to go to the Godforsaken Lands, maybe to forget, let go, or redeem themselves. They leave the tavern to Biff to be taken care of until their return.
