When the ring is donned, it turns the wearer into an ornate porcelain oil lamp. While in lamp form, the user is paralyzed and will remain as such until the lamp is smashed, broken, or otherwise destroyed in which case the user reverts to their normal form, holding the ring.
That's it. That's literally all it does.
