Set up of a Flesh Disaffixiator takes 3 consecutive days of work to get things just right. Once assembled and running, it cannot be moved, without repeating the set up process.
However, it allows an attuned user to perform a ritual as part of a long rest to learn more about their enemies.

At the beginning of the ritual any body part from a creature can be dissolved in the Disaffixiator. During the ritual the user inhales the fumes and grows to understand their target better.

At the end of the ritual, the user has a chance to achieve an epiphany and learn something new about about a creature. This could include vulnerabilities, resistances, immunities, special abilities, defenses, or other insight to the creature's type.

Make a roll with Religion, Nature, or Arcana as appropriate to the kind of creature. If you have proficiency with cooking utensils you have advantage on the roll.

DC 10 - You learn a common fact

DC 15 - You learn a relevant fact

DC 20 - You have an insight and can request what kind of information you are looking to discover.
