Mana Steel Chunk

Trade Good

Varies

A cobalt blue metal that weighs about as much as Radium, mana steel is a material capable of miraculous things, such as refusing to obey gravity when cold or constantly cycling electrons throughout its polymorphic structure, when at room temperature, like some kind of naturally occurring electrical generator.

Mana steel is used primarily by the Union of Kriegh to power their devices, because of this it is relatively common across all of Drucin in one form or another. In spite of its popularity and ubiquity, the exact origins of this energetic blue substance are not known. What is known, is that the mana steel deposits found across the world only appeared after the great meteor storm at the end of the second age. Interestingly, the meteors were described as having turned mid-air, of their own volition, to hit their assumed target.

It should be noted that when mana steel reaches a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, it will explode in a violent display of wild magic. How the meteors survived entering our atmosphere is still unknown.
