Humans, both extremely adaptable and rather varied, scatter across the face of Faerun. They were renowned for their diversity and ambition, and although they lacked specialization, they could excel in many areas. Often creating massive metropolian areas with extremely diverse racial profiles, and a knack for interbreeding with the other races they get along with. Most of humans abilities come from their adaptation to their environment, only requiring a generation to completely switch. Bellow are examples of those enivronmental adaptations.   Ages: Maturity 16 to 65 years. Maximum age of 100 years.
Size: 5'5" to 6' tall, 80 to 180 lb.    

Desertborn

Agile and Strong: You have proficiency in the Athletics and Survival skills.   Born in the Desert: You have advantage on saving throws against extreme heat. In addition, once per long rest when you would gain a level of exhuastion from heat exposure, you can choose to not gain a level of exhaustion.   Dune Warrior: You have proficiency with light armour, scimitars, whips and shortbows. When you score a critical hit with any of these weapons, you can roll one of the weapon's damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.    

Forestborn

Children of the Wild: You have proficiency in the Nature and Herbalism.   Fleet of Foot: Your base walking speed increases to 35 feet.   Natural Resistances: You have advantage on saving throws against poisons and diseases.   Watchers of the Forests: Whenever you make a Wisdom (Perception) checks while in a forest, you are considered proficient in the Perception skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead your normal proficiency bonus.    

Mountainborn

Stone People: You gain proficiency with Smithing, Light Hammers and Warhammers.   Mountaineer: You ignore difficult terrain when moving through rocky terrain. Whenever you make a Strength (Athletics) check to climb rocks, you are considered proficient in the Athletics skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.   Powerful Build: You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.   Strong as a Rock: Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.    

Plainsborn

Versatile Culture: You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice.   Crafting Expertise: You gain proficiency in a Tool Proficiency of your choice. When you craft a nonmagical object using the artisan's tools you're proficient with, you produce the goods in half the time and they're worth double their usual appraisal (if an object of value).    

Seaborn

Appraiser: You have advantage on checks to determine the value and craftwork of items.   Masters of the Seas: You gain proficiency with Sailing. You have a swimming speed of 30 feet.   Natural Trader: You have proficiency in the Deception and Persuasion skills. Additionally, you have advantage on Persuasion checks when negotiating prices with others that aren't hostile toward you.    

Winterborn

Courageous: You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.   Glory over Death: When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.   Snowfolk: You have proficiency in the Survival skill. You have proficiency with battleaxes, great axes, longswords and greatswords.   Winter Fortitude: You have advantage on saving throws against extreme cold.    

Human Ethnicities

  But Faerun is a massive expanse, resulting in wildly different cultures and alternations of skin, hair and eye colour. These differences are really only skin deep but many humans taking pride in their Condathan or Halruaan blood. Pick an ethnicity from below, with recommendations from your DM as to a starting location that fits your humans adapations and ethnicity.   Calishite Humans tend towards coffee and chocolate coloured skin, black hair and dark eyes, but often have speckles of Genie blood which can express in unusually bright hair and/or eye colours. They are mostly in the Deserts of Calim and the surrounding savanna and lowland hills.
Calishite Names: (Male) Aseir, Bardeid, Haseid, Khemed, Mehmen, Sudeiman, Zasheir; (female) Atala, Ceidil, Hama, Jasmal, Meilil, Seipora, Yasheira, Zasheida; (surnames) Basha, Dumein, Jassan, Khalid, Mostana, Pashar, Rein.   Chondathan Humans tend towards tanned skin, but their hair and eye colouration can swing dramatically. Brown and Black hair with the rarer Blonde. Chondathans populate most of the coastal spaces around the Sea of Fallen Stars and Dragonmere.
Condathan Names: (Male) Giotte, Compo, Nuccio, Giunto, Cino, Pardo, Gino, Nino, Bizzo, Conto; (female) Priana, Mida, Mina, Letta, Nozza, Atana, Cosa, Tera, Netta, Decca; (surnames) Ferri, Pala, Casa, Seti, Tremo, Pota, Rapio, Conia, Cenzia, Liari   Cormyrean Humans tend towards being slightly fairer than Chondathans, more blonde hair and blue eyes in more remote communities. Cormyreans live in the Dalelands, coastal villages along the Moon Sea, and the Heartlands of Faerun.
Cormyrean Names: (Male) Narder, Symas, Robern, Phomath, Halley, Johny, Heny, Gauward, Gylle, Johny, Raffin; (female) Atet, Elyn, Wene, Jane, Efrin, Ryelly, Mery, Eryn, Phily, Ryellia; (surnames) Fyminster, Beothorp, Thaiwick, Kewick, Haystone, Haywich, Wyedon, Wyford, Cheaton   Damarian Humans have extremely pale skin, brown and blonde hair and often blue or hazel eyes. They are mostly around the Damaran Plains, as well as the Western Reaches of Rashemar.
Damarian Names: (male) Vojta, Raha, Stiba, Mira, Svojta, Dusek, Bora, Jara, Breta, Bojar; (female) Mluba, Vela, Stina, Rada, Nisla, Rosta, Desa, Liba, Brana, Mlava; (surnames) Wine, Gehylpr, Munde, Cyne, Wulfsi, Aerelm, Wigmaer, Aenraert, Orhtwulf, Aefred   Halruaan Humans have darker coffee coloured skin, with pale green and blue eyes, and black hair. They tend to live around the Shining Sea and Moutains around Halruaa.
Halruaan Names: (Male) Aoth, Bareris, Ehput-Ki, Kethoth, Mumed, Ramas, So-Kehur, Thazar-De, Urhur; (female) Arizima, Chathi, Nephis, Nulara, Murithi, Sefris, Thola, Umara, Zolis; (surnames) Ankhalab, Anskuld, Fezim, Hahpet, Nathandem, Sepret, Uuthrakt.   Illuskan Humans tend towards red hair and very pale skin, with blue or brown eyes. They tend to live in coastal cities along the Sword Coast, mostly the northern portions, as well as settlements beyond the Spine of the World.
Illuskan Names: (male) Skore, Orelf, Hani, Otut, Hiri, Thafri, Hori, Thogni, Arir, Peni; (female) Gunnga, Hjaddva, Gunhe, Jorga, Asgeg, Huga, Horla, Gerdga; (surnames) Undvarson, Kialleson, Svestneson, Adbandson   Koryoan Humans tend to have black hair, extremely pale skin and green eyes. They also have monolid eyes. Most of them are in the Imperial Captial of Kara-Tur and northern settlements.
Koryoan Names: (male) Taki, Muri, Yotan, Suke, Matsu, Kahi, Kene, Itan, Maro, Michi; (female) Kasu, Tami, Kiko, Sahi, Rika, Rakie, Moro, Taka, Fuyuko, Mutsaya, Yukan, Tami; (surnames) Atsuk, Maki, Tano, Akan, Itan, Kahi, Ondan, Kura, Izuen.   Laerakondian Humans tend towards dark coffee and black skin, black eyes and black hair. They populate the slave-states of Dragon Ruled Laerakonda.
Laerakondian Names: (male) Bhuva, Kula, Avappath, Haruca, Gopa, Alajal, Adater, Acilaj, Kanthi, Bala; (female) Bani, Amil, Candro, Alan, Devi, Aliab, Kanya, Mavi, Beeni, Asil; (surnames) Deshakhi, Pura, Warama, Hatina, Banashi, Hari, Jeelyani, Bandurbua, Khabile, Darbhati.   Petanian Humans have black hair, dark coffee coloured skin, and black eyes. Theey also have monolid eyes. They tend to populate the Jungles and southern portions of the Kara-tur Empire.
Petanian Names: (male) Ogun, Oyedieh, Gbonsu, Demu, Boohe, Ugbin, Asrah, Agwun, Busu, Awoh; (female) Nkete, Obiang, Oleng, Gnimu, Unjoh, Usian, Kegbea, Adeh, Usieh, Ambah; (surnames) Adayeng, Agbeng, Oloh, Oblin, Amang, Abang, Okim, Amoang, Okin, Arin.   Rashemi Humans have either extremely pale or dark skin, with paler skin being more western Rashemar, getting progressively darker as you move towards the Ta'an Plains to the east. Dark hair and pale eyes are classics of the ethnicity. Monolid eyes also start to turn up in the population as you move east.
Rashemi Names: (male) Danua, Tema, Eigeyn, Hagi, Subo, Batai, Gane, Delgay, Dampild, Asan; (female) Qorchi, Tanai, Sagey, Tagey, Bane, Toqa, Gengha, Chechi, Tuma, Bayane; (surnames) Chorli, Juchu, Dali, Nizan, Chigey, Ganua, Koke, Quchaa, Chului, Tema.   Shou Humans tend towards between pale or pale yellow skin, black hair and brown eyes, and monolid eyes. They populate most of the northern and central portions of Kara-Tur.
Shou Names: (male) An, Chen, Chi, Fai, Jiang, Jun,Lian, Long, Meng, On, Shan, Shui, Wen; (female) Bai, Chao, Jia, Lei, Mei, Qiao, Shui, Tai; (surnames) Chien, Huang, Kao, Kung, Lao, Ling, Mei, Pin, Shin, Sum, Tan, Wan.   Turami Humans have dark skin, sometimes also black, with black hair and dark brown eyes. They popluate most of Zukhara, Shaar and the Raruin Desert.
Turami Names: (male) Anton, Diero, Marcon, Pieron, Rimardo, Romero, Salazar, Umbero; (female) Balama, Dona, Faila, Jalana, Luisa, Marta, Quara, Selise, Vonda; (surnames) Agosto, Astorio, Calabra, Domine, Falone, Marivaldi, Pisacar, Ramondo.   Waterdhavian Humans tend towards black and grey hair, pale skin, and eyes that are brown, blue or hazel. They populate most of the southern parts of the Sword Coast as well as the human-friendly settlements in Moonshae and Lantan.
