Also known amongst themselves as the Hin, or the 'Good Folk' to the Bigg'uns. They usually form tight-knit communities, with circle of elders guiding their communities and keeping to their crafts rather than make waves about politics. This has both helped and harmed them in the past, as their long oral traditions tell, with stories ranging as far back as the Imsakari Empire in Shaar. Younger Halflings are also typical struck with a wanderlust, travelling far and wide in their young adult lives. Middle Aged halflings tend to their crafts, making some truly legendary beers, cheeses, baked goods and sausages. Chances are if you're eating rations part of all of it came from a Halfling craftsman. Most of the Halflings kingdoms are spread in the Shining South, with a few small pockets in Velen and Faerun, but just as many Halflings take to permanent nomadic lifestyles, large wagon trains and carvans of Halflings moving around the land.   Ages: Maturity 20 to 140 years. Ghostwise

The Ghostwise have a strong connection to the Shadowfell, some theorise it is because they were originally pulled through the Plane of Shadow into our reality by the Imaskari, giving them a connection and knowledge to shift in and out of that plane with training. Ghostwise Halflings also are the most frequent to take up the life of a Nomad, travelling around the hidden paths of the Shadowfell between the Great Forests. They avoid major settlements and find trade and entertainment from the smaller villages of the world, calling their Caravans 'The Great Ghost Train'.   Silent Speech: You can speak telepathically to any creature within 30 feet of you. The creature understands you only if the two of you share a language. You can speak telepathically in this way to one creature at a time.

Luskan

Neither the Great Ghost Trains of the Ghostwise or the Beer Halls of Luiren suit these fellows. The most often come across variety of Halfling in Faerun cities and metropolises, they also have a strong stain on them as one of the Races that made up the xenophobic and genocidal Uthgardian Empire. A life of trying to pass for Luiric is often what they do, or stay in the underbelly of crime that readily accepts their skills. There are, of course, a few Luskan settlements in the Tethyrian Plains, unaffected by the politics in the North. But they often learn when they go on their Journeys.   Naturally Stealthy: You can attempt to hide even when you are obscured only by a creature that is at least one size larger than you.

Luiren

The most communal of the Hin, these are halflings that never leave their comfy kingdom in the Shining South. They are famed for exports, from Silk, to Frothy Bull Stout, and an infamous mercenary group called the Diminutive Knights. All their time brewing heavily drinks have given their guts a powerful resistance to terrestrial poisons. Not much solace in what all that dairy does to their smell though.   Resistances: Poison
Proficiencies: Your choice of Tool.
