Jelly Monster

  Age. Equivalent to humans.   Alignment. Jelly monsters tend toward no particular alignment. The best and the worst are found among them.   Hybrid Nature. You have two creature types: humanoid and ooze. You can be affected by a game effect if it works on either of your creature types.   Slippery Escape. As a bonus action, you can escape from any grapple or bindings, without having to make an ability check. Furthermore, you can slip through openings as small as an inch.   Engulf.

As an action, you can attempt to engulf a Large or smaller creature within 5 feet of you. The creature must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a successful save, the creature can choose to be pushed 5 feet back or to the side of you. A creature that chooses not to be pushed suffers the consequences of a failed saving throw. On a failed save, you enter the creature's space, and the creature takes 1d6 damage and is engulfed. The engulfed creature can't breathe, is restrained, and takes 2d6 damage at the start of each of your turns. You can only have one creature engulfed at a time. Additionally, when you move, the engulfed creature moves with you. An engulfed creature can try to escape by taking an action to make a Strength (Athletics) check (using the same DC). On a success, the creature escapes and enters a space of its choice within 5 feet of you.

The damage dealt is the same type as the resistance given to you by your subrace. The damage increases to 2d6 at 5th level (4d6 at the start of your turn), to 3d6 at 11th level (6d6 at the start of your turn), and to 4d6 at 17th level (8d6 at the start of your turn).

   

Apple Jelly Monster

Apple jellies are mostly gold in color and are attuned to the radiant element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.   Radiant Resistance. You have resistance to radiant damage.   Radiant Magic. You learn the sacred flame cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Blackberry Jelly Monster

Blackberry jellies are mostly black in color and are attuned to the necrotic element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.   Necrotic Resistance. You have resistance to necrotic damage.   Necrotic Magic. You learn the chill touch cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Blueberry Jelly Monster

Blueberry jellies are mostly blue in color and are attuned to the cold element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.   Cold Resistance. You have resistance to cold damage.   Frost Magic. You learn the ray of frost cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Cherry Jelly Monster

Cherry jellies are mostly red in color and are attuned to the fire element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.   Fire Resistance. You have resistance to fire damage.   Fire Magic. You learn the fire bolt cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Grape Jelly Monster

Grape jellies are mostly purple in color and are attuned to the poison element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.   Poison Resistance. You have resistance to poison damage. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.   Poison Magic. You learn the poison spray cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Lemon Jelly Monster

Lemon jellies are mostly yellow in color and are attuned to the acid element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.   Acid Resistance. You have resistance to acid damage.   Acid Magic. You learn the primal savagery cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Pineapple Jelly Monster

Pineapple jellies are mostly orange in color and are attuned to the lightning element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.   Lightning Resistance. You have resistance to lightning damage.   Lightning Magic. You learn the shocking grasp cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.    

Raspberry Jelly Monster

Raspberry jellies are mostly pink in color and are attuned to the force element.   Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.   Force Resistance. You have resistance to force damage.   Force Magic. You learn the eldritch blast cantrip. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for it.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice.
