This circlet of gnarled onyx is adorned with black barbs that dig into the wearer's head. Dormant. While wearing the circlet in its dormant state, you gain the following benefits:

Your Charisma score decreases by 2 and you have advantage on initiative rolls. Your Charisma score returns to normal if you remove the circlet, but you take 4d6 psychic damage when you do so.
When making an attack roll, you can use your reaction to gain a +5 bonus to the roll. You make this choice after you see the roll, but before the DM says whether the attack hits or misses. You cannot use this ability again until you finish a short or long rest.
