Duration: Concentration (maximum necromancer's proficiency bonus +5 in rounds)
"Tak ah lah"   The necromancer targets a cone out to 30" each round and identifies the presence of any soul or corpse within the area of effect. Each round the magician may choose another area.   Souls detected include free (ie. dead, astral projection, etc...) souls or contained such as those in a body or object. The necromancer will learn what how many corpses/souls are in the area as their alignment.   To learn more, the necromancer will speak with the corpse/soul for one round and make an investigation roll (necromancer gains this ability if not already possessed for the purpose of Language of the Dead). What the necromancer learns each round is below:   DC10 When creature died, creature type (not species type) DC15 As per DC10 + how creature died, creature's species, objects possessed when it dies DC20 As per DC15 + creature's name, title, class and associated group (e.g. tribe, nation, cult), basic mission when died DC25 As per DC20 + significant connections (e.g. brother of King, servant of Mephistopheles etc) + one other random secret of use to the necromancer DC30 As per DC25 + three other facts desired by the necromancer   The maximum time a necromancer can focus on one corpse/soul is equal to half zis proficiency bonus (rounded up).
