Beam of Light

5-level Evocation

Casting Time: 1 action
Range/Area: 120ft
Components: Verbal, Somatic
Duration: Concentration, Up to 1 minute
Attack/Save: Constitution save
A radiant yellow beam of light shines down in a 10-foot radius 80-foot-high Cylinder centered on a point within range. Until the spell ends, bright light fills the Cylinder.   When a hostile creature enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it is engulfed in radiant flames that cause searing pain, and it must make a Constitution saving throw. It takes 4d6 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the creature is undead it is also blinded on a failed save until the start of its next turn.   When a friendly creature enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it heals 1d6 hit points. The beam can’t heal constructs or undead. On each turn after you cast this spell, you can use an action to move the beam 30 feet in any direction.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot 6th Level of or higher, the damage increases by 2d6, and the healing increases by 1d6 for every two slot levels above the 5th.
