Damage/Effect: necrotic
The magician creates five 10" shadowy scythes surrounding the caster that at once begin a rapid, whirling arcane pattern about the caster.
Any creature that enters the space or starts its turn within 15" of the magician is struck by the whirling scythes that deal the following (no saving throw):
At higher levels: - 5d6 + proficiency bonus necrotic damage
- Movement reduced by 10" (accumulates if damage taken in consecutive rounds, movement returns at the rate of 5" per turn once outside of the area of effect)
- 50% of proficiency bonus in temporary strength damage (round up, strength loss returns at the rate of 1 per turn once outside the area of effect)
- For every 4 points of temporary strength loss, a creature has 1 temporary level of exhaustion (exhaustion dissipates as the temporary strength loss also dissipates)
- For each spell slot above 5th level an additional scythe is created that deals an additional d6 necrotic damage
