Bloodied deck

As you should already know, the smell of battle is the smell of blood. If you are lucky, or just good, it will be mostly the blood of your enemies.When I got to the deck, Baccari had made sure to start on that one, enemies cut and laying around him. Their numbers were bigger then we had scouted, but nothing we couldn't handle.
Myself and Torgé quickly got unto the deck started attacking the enemies, my first foe was armed with a firearm - the weaker path. He couldn't stand my attacks for long, and as he fell after a short exchange of blows, his apparent boss came at me, with a sword after missing a shot. The fight that followed, against this more apt foe, was such that would make the ancestors and spirit prideful.
The fight was intense enough that I couldn't pay much attention to what was happening, but I was aware of the sounds of battle and falling scoundrel coming from close by. As the noises started to lessen, my opponent seemed scared and tried to flee... As the spirits would have it, he succeeded.
With the fleeing of the bandit, the cuts caused by the sword seemed to heavy me finally. Blood stained the planks and my clothing, aching emanating from each cut. Taking the time to rest I decided not to chase the bandit and let that to the others, and stayed on the ship to check on the sailors and for clues about our enemies.
Didn't find a thing of notice, and eventually Joe's herald arrived with help to clean and fix the boat, as well as take me to shore. He stated Old Joe wanted to speak with the group the next day at noon, and such would be... Rest and healing came first.
