I suppose Hetzoatl was right when he said the roads weren't so safe these days. I didn't realize things had changed so much up here; patrols are more frequent but somehow not keeping the highwaymen at bay. I knew he was going to be a bit of trouble but he seems decent enough that I can forgive the added noise. And besides: Het's pretty good in a scuffle, tightly wound as he is. Doesn't talk much about why he's headed to Aldrefield, answers too dodgy, but I might be able to pry some bits and pieces out over time. Considering as we're only about half a day's journey into town from here maybe a night at the bar would loosen him up a bit. Gods know I could use one. I'm running low on ideas...
Shouldn't linger too long once we arrive, too many enterprising folk around looking to bolster their standing. While I'd oh so love to sightsee all the rundown mills and oppressively dingy bars, I've got my stay already planned. Spend the night, stock up on supplies, listen in on the local gossip, and get that shipment routed. If I get lucky, there might even be a smithy or broker who sells materials that aren't complete toss. As for Het, guess I'll leave him to his business. The extra coin is nice though I don't really plan on going north again. It's been a long trek and I miss home.
