(Leif Plowkin is a girl from Mill Town.)
 
Leif: And now that I'm ten, I can finally get my own pets.
 
(Ten-year-olds can receive a beginning pet from their local animal expert. In Leif's case, the Old Prospector.)
 
Leif: I will journey to gain the wisdom of pet training. And I hereby declare to the animals of the world. I will be a training master. Animal master! That is what I'll --
 
Delia Plowkin: Leif, get to bed! It's 11 o'clock and you should be asleep.
 
Leif: But tomorrow I begin my pet journey -- I can't sleep.
 
Delia: Well if you can't sleep, you should at least get ready for tomorrow. Let me tell you about when i got my first pet.
 
(Flashback to Delia's childhood)
 
Old Prospector: Good evening, Mill Town. Tomorrow's the big day for the newest class of pet students. I'd like to introduce you to Cat, Dog and Squirel. Each one is available for new trainers. Which one shall you choose?
 
Delia: (speaking to friend) I am defiantly choosing Squirel!
 
Old Prospector: ...to help them develop their special powers.
 
(End Flashback)
 
Delia: Time to go bed.
 
Leif: Alright, I'm going.
 
Delia: And change into your pajamas, OK?
 
Leif: I'm going.
 
(Later that night, Leif is fast asleep)
