Notes from the recruitment office.

The recruitment office was boring, so of course the kid ran off to play hide, I notably did not play seek. I might have to talk to him about staying in place again. After too long in the room full of hopeful adventurers I was finally called to an interviewer’s desk. The employee who interviewed me was a guy named Nigel, who conducted a thoroughly unengaged interview.
Birb, the child, had his own interview and was apparently told the island we will visit has dragons. It is unclear whether this information is reliable.
The mission we were assigned to has the code 73-b. We’re to explore Sky Tree Island and either rescue or retrieve the remains of someone who was sent there before us. Two other adventurers will be accompanying us. Both of them were also interviewed by Nigel, who left the office shortly after talking to the last one of them.
The person we're looking for currently goes by the name Van Hal'essa. She's of elven origin.
