THAKOM OLED has lived his whole life in Saltmarsh. He's not the biggest fan of all the pirates and stuff, but without them the Empty Net wouldn't have much business and he'd probably have to join the army or something. He's far too fragile for the army. Besides, he loves baking and the there's not much call for a baker in the army, he reckons. At nearly 7 feet tall, he also acts as the Net's bouncer, though the locals know he couldn't hurt a fly. (Thakom is Considerate, Dependable, and Naïve; has an Apron, Cheap Jewelry, and a Curly Mustache)
 
DUKA SHENKER heard that a dwarven anvil was hiring humans in Saltmarsh and had to make the move. That her brother, Kreb, already owned a tavern there was a great bonus as it meant free drink. She doesn't care who runs Saltmarsh because steel is always in demand, come war or peace. Everyone always knows where she is because she's always either singing, brawling, or blatantly flirting.
