New Room Mate - New Life

Haven't heard from Mr. B in the last couple weeks. Left him a message regarding finishing Job 14 and the resulting re-homing of the product. Not sure what to make of the silence, but have to assume everything is fine. I didn't expect him to reach out after The Fiasco, but he was perfectly civil and a consummate professional. --something I need to keep in mind. There's no reason to think he won't get back to me. After all, he and I repaired the bridge.
 
While I wait and consider options, futures and paths forward, I have taken a job at Inn-Cider Trading. Mab had a firm but fair talk with me and Bill agreed to let me work at the pub. It was pretty solid of him, but he's always been so good to work with during the re-homing. Mab was right, waiting tables has been given me a new prospective.
 
The new job means I'm staying on Drifter's Rock and I'm happy to report that I have located a safe place to stay. Mab, the head waitress with Inn-Cider Training, and I have always hit it off on my past trips. I've never met someone as free spirited, fierce and unapologetically honest.
 
I'm sure that I'll start itching to get back on the hunt, but right now it's just nice to take orders, clear tables and wash dishes. I just need the reset and Mab's right, no one is going to take care of myself but me and just because I made a mistake doesn't mean that I'm a horrible person.
