After many hours of planning the heist, the day has come for me to implement the plan. There is a young merchant in the area that has been taking advantage of the local shop owners. It makes me sick and the guy needs a taste of his own medicine. I have noticed that the merchant loves his mead, so I waited until he went to the tavern at night. He left the tavern in a drunken stupor and I knew it was time to strike. I sneaked into his carriage and stole a velvet pouch full of gold and a sapphire broach. By the time he figured out what had happened, I was already hiding deep in the forest. After fencing the goods, I walked away with 50gp.
The next day I followed through on rumors of a noblewoman travelling through the area. She was always well protected, so I hid in the shadows and waited for an opportunity. That opportunity came when the party was eating the evening meal. I was able to slip in past the guards and open a jewel-laden trunk. Inside I snatched a ornate gold bracelet that sold for 75gp.
I had heard of a pair of wealthy traders that were staying in an estate outside of Frandyln. I decided to pay them a visit. However, I lost my footing when trying to scale one of the walls and was chased away empty-handed.
The next day I was determined to overcome the previous day's failure. There was a noble family travelling through the area that loved to show of their wealth in vain. This time, I decided to set a trap for them by placing a tree in their path. While the guards were clearing the tree, I snuck in and took a bag of gold and a fine ruby-encrusted dagger. The day's loot more than made up for yesterday's issues. I walked away with 75gp in earnings.
Word of my exploits had gotten out, so I decided to lay low for the next two days and reflect on my earnings. The peace and solitude was nice for a change, but it was short-lived.
Early this morning I decided to head back to Frandyln. I'm eager to see what riches I might plunder from the corrupt upper class today.
