The Druid and the Tree

Turns out the curse thing was more complicated than we initially thought.
On our way we encountered some evil tree spirits. We prevaled, yet we lost Mark, the automaton that was with the scrauny lad Kaz.
Nearing the tree on the hill, a horrific sight awaited us. There he was, the forest druid, killing a child and offering its blood in some twisted ritual of the night. Unforgivable! We were quick on our blades, but still couldnt save the poor kids life.
But things got even worse somehow. The Druid was doing this to ward off the land's curse, in way of a sinister pact that invilved the sacrifices of innocent children. The spirits from before.. the poor souls what have we done.
