White Path is a Creepy Place

by Kon Sunionnath

I've seen my share of haunted and cursed places, items and what have you, but none have given me the shivers like White Path. Something is very wrong here. The place just doesn't seem... natural.

We left from Dragon's Tail with a ship named Holy Ariah, the captain of whom was a very interestig woman. I heard about the ship from a blacksmith named Little John, a halfling, who said his brother, Big John, works as a sailor on the ship. Imagine my surprise when Big John turns out to be a Goliath. I was expecting a halfling roughly the size of a dwarf or maybe a human from the name Big John, but not a Goliath. The two are step-brothers, apparently. This did make me wonder what a halfling-goliath would look like though. Questions for later.

Anyway, the ship arrived in Bazar Aleajayib and we took the day touring the various stalls there. Amariel looked quite excited. Haven't seen her smile like that, well, ever. So that was surprising. I personally managed to spot an interesting looking sword from the Eastern Islands, that had somehow ended up here in Craterium. It did look magical, but the asking price was a bit too much for me. Besides, I would've propably just taken the blade and turned it into a spear. I'm not comfortable with swords. Keep enemies at a distance, and when they get too close, just punch and kick 'em. Speaking of punches, Little John made me a pair of bladed gloves from the land shark fangs I had. Haven't gotten to test them yet, but they seem great. Now where was I? Oh, right, the Bazar. The others also found someone willing to buy the cursed weapon we got from the vampire back in Fourways. According to them, he was a blind man, rumored to be crazy though at first glance he didn't seem like that to them.

After all our business was concluded we left the Bazar for White Path. We rented some camels for the travel which was luckily quite uneventful, aside from some hyenas roaming around our camp one night. We also passed a place called 'Path of Finality'. So called because it apparently is the burial ground of sorts of the dragons. The bones we saw. They were gigantic, reaching for the Heavens themselves. I couldn't help but imagine the artefacts that could be created from such magnificient dragon bone. But I guess there is something else in that place too, since the bones seemed to pristine. Like no one has even tried to take piece of them to make something out of them. And I'm certain I'm not the only one to have thought that something could be made from those bones!

And then we arrived in White Path. It would be an understatement that the place is giving me bad vibes. And I'm not the only one. Pretty much everyone else too is feeling that. Luckily there is part of town where these white clad creepy people don't come to and Kaerwyd managed to find us lodgings there. The owner of the tavern, called 'Baron' also had a request for us. To save his adopted daughter from the religious leader, Wolfram Hades, of White Path. And as it turns out this girl is the SAME one that both Eldove and Darvin have been seeing in their dreams, so I guess this is some kind of fate? Though I hate going according to fate's whims myself, this time it seems we have to.

We're going to go to the temple where we will see this Wolfram for ourselves. Let's just hope nothing happens that could be troublesome.
