The session opens with narration about how someone sits in a cell on a mattress, hearing only screaming. "Have you learned?" A disembodied distorted voice asks. Something overtakes you, as you stand your knees buckle. Fear, adrenaline. From the darkness, staring before you are blue eyes, lighting the edges of two horns so slightly. You beg and plead, that you have learned. The light only stares back in silence, before it all goes black. The Traveler gets food for Penny, but she gets sick, so it takes her home and then returns to the GDD compound to research Bulwark. It finds Edmond Darlow's file and it mentions his time in the middle east and became and a staff Seargent. He formerly worked at the VA and is 39 years old. The Traveler teleports back to The Nebula to look up Daybreak but finds nothing. Meanwhile, Daybreak takes Bulwark to his house. Edmond's husband, Beckett, has cooked chicken and rice for them and the children, Joseph and Sadie Darlow. He talks to his family and talks about the superhero team. Reason's public persona is discussed. Haven Incorporated is a security company that protects non powered people. The Traveler is also discussed, and the kids theorize that it was a statue at day and a hero at night.
Beckett questions Edmond on why he's back in action after being told he'd be kept out of conflict. Joseph picked the Ultraforce in the team's name picking. The POV cuts to Daybreak and Reason, where they inspect the shipping dock. Daybreak briefs Reason on what happened at the pawn shop and apologizes and says he'll work on having better communication skills. They land on a nearby roof and survey the area. They can see groups of men moving various mundane items or machinery pieces. Reason feels a haze over the dock area, a purplish foggy hue covering the entirety of it. Daybreak notices about 50 people present, and Reason realizes the magic aura is a concealment spell to trick the eyes into believing something else. Edmond answers more questions about the team to his children. Daybreak gets harassed outside of Bulwark's home by children, labelled Moonrepair. He proves his status as Daybreak and he and Bulwark leave. They all meet on top of the Milky Way, near the docks. The Traveler, Daybreak, and Bulwark have a discussion about the disaster prior. Bulwark sets up a platform for them to ride on and is horribly unstealthy. Everyone discusses their plan of action.
Meanwhile, Bulwark gets his info in. Jamie Baker owns the docks, and owns a shop in Augusta, Maine. It seems like a shipping company and construction company that deals in repairs. No major incidents, seems legit. Reason, able to see through illusions, can see a gold-based pyramid erected next to a crane. They see a source of heat coming from its tip. They drop down to the pyramid and pass the illusion veil. They notice greenery covering the golden pyramid, and on top the Minotaur is standing over a corpse on an altar, holding a staff, that contains a crystal that has Snapshot floating in front of it. The Minotaur yells "Rise my Frankenstein" and his red energy expands as lightning shoots from the sky into the tip. Frankenstein awakes and says, "I'm back!" and talks with Minotaur. Bulwark grabs Snapshot and the group chats with the villains, Frankenstein asks if Queen Victoria is still in power. Combat starts.
The Minotaur and Frankenstein leave at a point. Sir Magic shows up to help, and invites them to an event, a contest of sorts., in two weeks, on the 23rd. A grey skinned woman with black hair and black patches over her eyes appears from a helicopter arrival with people, Wildfire. She was considered a b-lister 5 years ago. She stopped doing hero work and was known for her explosive tendencies. She says she is their supervisor and tells them to check an email from Naomi Gray. Everyone splits up and goes home. The Traveler returns to the Nebula and asks Liv who created her. Jessica Moore. Liv's primary directive is to sustain and help on the station. Secondary is to assist the Anomalies in any way possible. The Traveler begins to research The Minotaur and asks Liv to help it. She tells Bulwark the Nebula was built in 2003, launched in 2005 and was not used until it was handed over to a superhero team, and then handed to the Anomalies.
Bulwark asks Liv how sentient she is. Liv answers that she does not have a consciousness, but she has a personality that was programmed into her. She says she is not. Bulwark and the Traveler have a discussion that does not turn out well. Reason recalls symbols engraved in the pillars of the pyramid; a sun, a mountain, the sea. She also noticed that when Frankenstein moved, the greenery turned grey and withered and died. Daybreak's dad is a bad dude and alive still, apparently is put away.
"What a night, what an evening. Nine ships were able to get away, and the other two, the only thing that was lost was some civilians." "Well well well, good thing they missed me." A voice calls from the ocean.
