Raesh's Character Flavor

by Raesh All-Shell

Weapons/Armor

1. Does your character have a particular weapon that they will choose to use regardless over all other weapons? Why does your character choose to only use this weapon(s)? Do they avoid sharp piercing/slashing weapons because they were horribly injured during an accident? Please be specific.

Raesh enjoys the warhammer because Siobhan taught him bludgeoning is a quick way to get through armor, even when you cant pierce the armor. One of her motto's is "If you cant break it, bend it." This was beaten into him over their training sessions. Raesh will use other weapons, but he likes his warhammer.

2. Does your character have a particular item: a string, bracelet, or other trinket which they always tie to their weapon/armor? Where did they get this trinket and why is it important to the character?

He wears one of Siobhan's fangs as a necklace because it was the first time he landed a hit on her and she gave it to him to remember the first time his form was perfect to her.

3. Do they have a particular phrase, word, or other type of battle cry they call out when attacking with the weapon? Do they whisper a particular prayer when they are defending with a shield or similar item?

When he enters a rage, he screams "Cowabunga!" It's a tortle war cry.

4. If your character uses unarmed attacks when they attack, is there a particular effect that imminates from their hands, feet, head, or whichever unarmed attack they are using? Do they have their own "names" for their attacks and use those references when talking about their attack in the tavern?

No special auras or anything, just claw swipes.

5. If your character is an artificer, do they use their "magical tinkering" ability carelessly and constantly, regardless of how it affects the previous benefactors of the ability? ex. The character uses last "magical tinkering slot" to create a light source, then a few rooms later, they create a static display causing the light source to go out and shrugs it off as an "oops, I forgot".

Class Features

1. Does your divine character pray at specific times of day unrelated to their need to pray for their spells each morning? Is this a requirement from your religion?

He is non-religious. There is only the fight and surviving it.

2. Is there a special effect that one might describe when your character uses their special class feature? Does your ranger see a particular shade of color when they are recalling the path back home while using their ability to not become lost? Do leaves fall onto the correct path to ensure the character does not become lost.

When Raesh rages, sparks of magic tend to be seen around him, but because of his rage, he does not notice them.

3. When your rogue uses the sneak attack feature, do they whisper a particular word, or phrase, under their breath? Does a special glow, wispy effect, or similar thing appear around the dagger’s blade as it strikes?

N/A

4. When your barbarian rages, do they drink a special potion that they learned to make while among their tribe which turns them into a “Bane” type creature while raging? When your mage casts spells, does it draw on their own life force, health, or other feature and they must drink a nightly concoction to revive their “health”? Maybe they endure a particularly taxing trial as a child when they apprenticed with a mage’s academy and now, they suffer for it (aka Raistlin from Dragonlance).

There is no potion, his anger from being treated as useless by his halfling brothers for not being able to conjure magic is what he uses to focus and go into rage.

Adventuring Gear

1. Does your character carry a special item on them that they use during combat religiously? Do they have a “pocket of sand” that they reach into and toss at those they are attacking? Why do they do this, do they think it is funny? Do they have a small flask that they refill before adventuring out of town and take a sip before each “encounter”?

His cloak is very important to him as it allows him to blend into his surroundings instead of everyone just seeing a small turtle, they see what looks like a small creature with a pack covered by a clak.

2. Maybe your character has a particular “book” or similar item that is a favorite poet, or other type of artist? Do they read a selection from it each night around the campfire? Do they react well if the other characters do not reciprocate the love for this author?

He enjoys listening to Siobhan's poetry, and thinks all golden, no matter what others think.

3. Is your character afraid of the dark, shadows, or a similar fear? Do they carry a lantern, or other item(s) to push the particular fear they have away?

He uses the tooth around his neck to help him calm down when the world becomes to much. It helps center him and remember his training.

4. Does your character have a favorite food, drink, or similar item that they continously keep stocked? Do they react in a particular way if they run-out of this item or can't find it easily? Is it a particular type of berry, or other plant that they forage while in the wilderness?

Anchovy Pizza! He cant get enough of it and always tries to get it in each town he goes to.

5. Is your character an item hoarder, often holding on to more than what they can carry without being encumbered? When they reach into their pack to get something, several items fall out. Has your bag(s) become overtaxed to the point that it's ragged and torn and you often loose items (mostly items of non great importance) as you adventure?

He is not a hoarder. Siobahn taught him the virtue of light travel.

6. Does your character ~have~ to have that one particular item each time it is found? A worthless trinket, a broken tooth, a scuffed boot etc. ? If so, what is it and why do they feel the need to have this particular item. What does your character do with this item? Will they pick a fight with their companions if the other person refuses to give it up?

He takes a tooth from every opponent he kills. Since he was awarded a tooth for his first successful brawl, he now feels he needs a tooth from each fight he survives afterward.
