[The others head off to put down some scarecrows at a nearby farmstead, at the behest of the Emerald Enclave; I'm busy elsewhere trying to be less restless]
 
As I catch up to the others, I have difficulty keeping sight of them, something unusual in my experience. Eventually things clear up and I follow them into a mansion. Strangely, the groundskeeper seems to know I'm with them, waving me in. Disconcerting.
 
The others seem to have collected some materials from their most recent encounters, materials which turn out to be spell components used for animating objects. The lady of the house [Jeryth Phaulkon], a disembodied voice and an image in a mirror, requests that we bring these items to a colleague of hers, one Ambrose Everdawn, who is doing some research of his own near the City of the Dead.

We find Sir Ambrose in a crypt, battling skeletons. After assisting with the remaining few (a rather trivial task), we show him what we found at the farm - apparently his cousin's - and begin investigating the necromancer he'd been trying to track down. He's glad for the help, as the City Watch has refused to take his claims of a "necromancer problem" seriously.
