Dearest Diary,
Tonight, I emerged from my beauty rest, glowing and eager for the evening's amusements.
I entered the bar, accompanied by soft, ethereal music that echoed through the walls. The lights around the tavern slowly dimmed strategically, except the ones next to me, accentuating my radiant golden skin. My walk seemed to others as though I floated in slow motion. Watching everyone's faces, I thought, "God, I love using this spell. Hmm, this is going to be interesting."
Of course, I sat at the table in the centre of the bar—the best view to attract attention and eye out potential 'entertainment' for tonight. I glanced over at the bar and spotted the bartender, Mura, my best friend, shaking her head in embarrassment. I nodded my head, and she started making my usual drink.
A fluffy female grey wolf-kind approached me. She curiously asked how my skin glows. I scoffed, "I am from an elite tribe."
Then I looked at her, scanning her from top to bottom as I raised one eyebrow and asked, "What about you? How are you…YOU?"
She began a monologue chatting where she came from and what she wanted to do…things I barely remember because I don't really care. Then she mentioned something about the fluffy black and pink catlike being across the bar, which I immediately thought of as a cutie. She looked like she would bite if I petted her, but it made me want to pet her more. Ko Rava - adorable, with a hint of danger, her name alone intrigues me.
Apparently, Ko Rava failed to get a drink, so I walked over to Mura, the bartender, to buy a couple. She initially refused, saying it was against policy to serve underage customers. My three gold coins beg to differ. I know Mura needs funding for her projects, so I was positive she'd take the bribe.
I brought the drinks back to my table and offered them to the group. As I slid a cup towards Ko Rava, aiming to spark a conversation, a brooding elf audaciously snatched and downed it. He introduced himself as Lucidius, a green elf. How delightful. Now that I know your name, I will be closely watching you.
I spotted a particular group of green elves across our table—two young-looking boys, one with polished skin, the other bearded. But the one that caught my eye was their grandfather eating a bowl of eggs with...milk??
Leading the group, I greeted them with, "Well, hello, boys." But before these hunks get the chance to respond, the same elf, Lucidius, injected himself, again, into the conversation. The rest of the group joined in soon after, and we all just had a good chat about that little green monkey and his work.
"Bam!" We looked around. The tavern was in chaos. Everyone was running around screaming.
Two green orcs emerged from a random portal that popped out in the middle of the tavern; I viciously mocked them in disgust: "Eww! Did you dip yourselves in toxic waste for that vibrant hue, or did you forget to shower for a few centuries?"
The orc with a massive scar on his face turned and looked at me with rage. Wow, that must've struck a nerve. His blow took me by surprise; I felt a bit of pain on my side. The grandfather elf, witnessing the whole thing, passed me some mushrooms. I asked what it does, and he shouted, "Just take it! Just take it! Quick! It'll be fun." Intrigued by the promise of fun, I consume it, feeling a euphoric rush of strength. I tried to push the orcs back into the portal with my mirror shatter spell but missed. Hmm, I blame the downsides of being high.
However, the others had a different idea—to kill both orcs. I helped buff some of them, successfully killing those ugly beasts.
A green makuna named Nakah closed the portal. He looks distinguished and somewhat important? He explained that this interference was from outside our realm and about the leylines (alternate universe). He rounded up a group of people, including me, Mura, Ko Rava, Luci, the wolfgirl, a lizardman, a birdman, and a feisty bearded bald dwarf. Nakah explained the importance of the three green elves. One of the boy's father is a leader. They mentioned a portal they found and thought it was part of a fairy realm, so they came into the city to investigate further.
Nakah told us that he could open a portal to a bar called The Sideways Inn and convinced our group to travel there. I was a bit hesitant. I barely knew these people. So, I asked Nakah, "What's in it for me? Will there be more delectable young faces?" The green monkey looked into my eye, grinned, and nodded.
Eager for new adventures, I smirked as I stepped into the portal.
With love, Zyanya
