Being born the 7th son of a 7th son, Jebediah was expected to be one the greatest Arcane prodigies of all time. In his youth he was given access to the greatest teachers in his city. His 6 older brothers and 3 younger sisters were all natural born spell casters. Jebediah studied harder than the rest of them but to no prevail. He understood magic better than any of them, but could not put his knowledge into practice. Upon reaching adulthood Jebediah could only perform mundane magic. A gnoll raid called his brothers and sister to battle to defend the city. Jebediah, wanting to prove his worth chased after them. He found himself in a precarious situation in which he should have been killed. Instead, his eldest brother, Rowwell, jumped into action, saving Jebediah's life, but at the cost of his own. The raid left the city in ruin and his family in mourning. After the raid, Jebediah was blamed for the death of his eldest brother and cast out of the city and disowned by his parents.
Over the next 200 years Jebediah dedicated his life to becoming the greatest arcane user in history. He spent years traveling, trying to find teachers, turning over every stone to find any books he could to increase his knowledge of the arcane arts. It was not until he met Jared, a human Paladin, representing Mystra, the goddess of magic that Jebediah's magical talents started to blossom. He become a faithful follower of Mystra and upon doing so started being able to preform new magic. He now scours the world in search of magic, finding it wherever he can and learning from it, to one day, hopefully return to his home and prove to his family that he is not the failure they all see him as.
