A far traveling Bjornheimer man. Tall and slender with rigid strength, his bare skin seems hard and gnarled like tree roots. Ivory blonde hair with light blue eyes and sporting a long braided beard, he is a romanized image of a wandering Bjornheimer. His appearance makes his age hard to define, but in most ways he looks middle-aged. With tall deer hide boots, he wears earth tone wool clothes and a hooded cloak, all travel worn yet cared for. He walks with a long polearm weapon as a walking staff.
 
He is a kindly and affable person that is usually aloof in social situations. When pressed, he reveals his very nihilistic view of the world and his very neutral personality on issues of philosophy and religion. Yet, even with these views he travels, looking to see what the realms have to offer. He doesn’t really know why he looks, and he’s never surprised about what he finds. Every once in a while he finds something different, something unique, but that newness always fades to similarity in a short time.
 
In combat, his rage is a dark trance that is seemingly him out of control. Cold, calculated and with sudden strikes of intense violence he is like a gathering storm with bursts of lightning. The contrast is stark when compared to his normally calm demeanor. He doesn’t understand it, he doesn’t “control” it, but let's go to the nature of it.
 
Ferða-maðr doesn’t remember much of his childhood, mostly dreams and memories of memories, seemingly like he was told the stories and has filled in the gaps. He knows he grew up in a fjord, in a small fishing village, the stereotypical Bjornheimer life. One thing he does know a lot about is the world tree. The world tree represents the connection between different realms and the source of life and fertility. In Bjornheimer mythology, the world tree is known as Yggdrasil, a massive ash tree that connects the nine realms of the universe. It supports the heavens, thereby connecting the heavens, the terrestrial world, and, through its roots, the underworld.
 
Recently, Ferða-maðr arrived in Nordheim, needs money for a boat off of the island and is looking for work. Maybe a mercenary crew would provide the boat, some coin and adventure in war. Maybe he’ll find something truly unique at war?
