Rast is a 23 year old blacksmith who resides in the Boval valley after his village was raided and parents killed defending it. He is lost and trying to find his place in the world, but confident he knows the way it should be.

Rast was born to Raylynn (mother) and Farro (father) in the western plains of Kaladan. From an early age Farro trained him in the ways of the Order of the Damned Claw, an elite group of monster hunters that contracted with the local rulers of the Hyberian lands to protect them from the fell creatures that inhabited the Mountains of the kingdom. During the expansion of the Barbarians after the fall of the empire Rast's ancestors were selected to travel with the groups expanding into Kaladan and eventually settled near the western edge of the kingdoms to be a line of defense from the unknown of the Western Lands. By the time Rast came along much of the land was peaceful and his family has assimilated into the local culture and societal norms and expectations of the civilized human lands. Farro spent his time supporting his family by smithing superior weapons for local lords. In the evenings he trained Rast in the ways of the Order and passed on his elite skills as is custom from Father to son. Rast living in a time of peace struggles to justify the need to train and be a part of the Order as he sees no real need for the Order to exist anymore. He would much rather spend time with his friends chasing women and drinking in the tavern soaking up stories of adventure and the wonder of the lands to the east. On his 16th birthday Farro led Rast into the open plains for his Bloodening as is tradition in the Order. Rast was left to himself to ponder to world and its workings, become closer to the nature around him to use as an advantage on his enemies, and survive for the month. During this time Rast was attacked by a direwolf and came out victorious earning him the name wolfsbane. As is tradition Rast had earned his last name and would go by this name from that point on. Returning to his family at the end of the month with a fresh wolf pelt on his shoulder and a crafted obsidian dagger his father was overjoyed. Unbeknownst to him, Rast had carried out the full ritual as it was intended and not the bastardization of the ritual set forth be seclusion from the main Order's hub. In the coming years Rast was pushed even more in the ways of the Order and continued to learn smithing from his father. Until the darkest day he had lived finally came. Out of the west came a dark cloud of smoke as the fell monsters of the western lands approached burning and pillaging as they went. Farro sent Rast off as the armies approached to seek out his Aunt and cousins on his mom's side in the Boval Valley. As he rode away he saw his father's full power as he went to arms to allow more villagers to escape. The last thing he saw was his Mother and Father struck down.
 
 
He has been living in the Boval Valley for eight months now in a upper room of my aunt's barn. His family treats him well enough for an outsider and a member of the Order, but there is still a strained relationship, but hey its family. Rast has set up shop as a smith, but instead of weapons applies his skills to the more mundane, shoeing horses, fixing farm tools, and so on. This call for adventure inside him can't be satisfied living this way and while he cares for his family that he has left he feels that he needs to move on by himself. He has met (francis) and they train and share ideas on how the world works. With the festival in town and stories of the kingdom flowing freely Rast has come up with an idea to form his own traveling adventurers party to do odd jobs and make money to explore the world.
