Arcane archer, artist, musician, poet, collector of stories, inspirer of acts of courage, counterer of monovalent magic and channeler positive healing energy.
I am a five-and-a-half foot tall, brown skin, good looking, male half-elf with a silver and black, fade-undercut hairstyle. My name is Akio, though recent company seems to prefer “Bard Boy”. I appear athletic, but more nimble than muscular, wearing an earth-tone heavy silk robe over a rawhide lamellar cuirass vest with an artfully made masterwork elven composite longbow, stylish brown linen backpack, quiver of arrows and a rectangular, 13-string, zither-like instrument common in the eastern Empire of Koryo in Kara-Tur. A small, electrum, blank scroll, plain and partially unrolled, hangs from a short, Byzantine chain necklace. While my raiment and equipment is not of local make and appears the style of the far eastern elves, my manner of speech and accent is very much local Arabellan. I am, indeed, a bard with a melodious voice, but my background is that of a scholar and not a performer. The plucked strings of the koto produce a sound that is resonant and airy, with a gentle decay, creating an ethereal atmosphere. My music frequently draws inspiration from nature, with techniques designed to mimic the sound of wind, water, or other natural elements. I love stories: both collecting and sharing and, hopefully, in this group of adventurers, we will create many new, wondrous and prosperous stories together.
