A kenku bard who is a believer in the words of Llyria, the goddess of secrets and truths.
Stu never uses her original name because it is the sound of stew boiling over a fire and is too difficult for other humanoids to pronounce. It was the first sound she heard when she hatched and constitutes her first memory. She remembers very little else from her early childhood.
Stu was part of a flock of Kenku that were captured and sold into bondage by an orc named Skulrog Bonesplitter. He ran a tavern as a business front called Pretty Little Skulls and often hosted bands passing through looking for talent to "recruit" from Skulrog's captives. Stu's ability to memorize music and lyrics was exceptional even for a Kenku, and Skulrog kept her as an entertainer for the tavern after selling off the members of her family.
Skulrog treated Stu poorly. Stu was 'The Songbird' for as long as she could remember, called out only to perform, pick the pockets of tavern guests, and spy for Skulrog. If she failed in her criminal tasks, grew tired during a dance and slipped, or simply sang a song Skulrog did not care for, she was locked in the cellar and deprived of food and water for days. Stu has claustrophobia as a result.
When Stu was a teen, a Kenku band (Four and Twenty) that came to play frequently at Pretty Little Skulls had a singer named Rhiannon. She and Stu fell in love, so Rhiannon and her band worked out a plan to free Stu and take her with them when they left town. Stu tried to keep their plans secret, but after a beating from Skulrog she spat back at him that "she wouldn't have to deal with him for much longer." Skulrog knew that Stu and the band leader were 'close.' He had one of his henchmen spy on the band and learned of the plan. He feared Stu would testify about his criminal activities if she got away. When Rhiannon and the others came to free Stu, Skulrog was waiting for them in the alley.
He killed them all, except Stu, who he left behind after believing her to be dead. She dreams of an alley in The Shrouded Veil. She heard the voice of a Whisperling: Llyria has seen your suffering. It's enough to drive one mad. But there is a knowledge in madness if one is willing to take it. Even the knowledge of how to take revenge and get away with it.
Stu had been raised a thief. She's no stranger to taking whatever she needs as long as she can get it.

Failures & Embarrassments
Someone I loved died because of a mistake I made. That will never happen again.
Morality & Philosophy
I am incredibly slow to trust. Those who seem the fairest often have the most to hide.
I am always calm, no matter what the situation. I never raise my voice or let my emotions control me.
Personality
Virtues & Personality perks
Freedom. Chains are meant to be broken, as are those who would forge them. (Chaotic)
