I was born in the mostly half-orc village of Cokson in the Westwind kingdom. Cokson is an unusual village, being primarily half-orc, it is the primary trading hub between the citizens of Westwind and the Orcs of the Split Wind Peaks. Upon completing their coming of age trial, half-orcs of Cokson decide if they want to stay in the village, venture into the mountains, or travel the world. It was at my final combat trial where I received this scar, specifically, from my forehead to my cheekbone from an axe, and while it tried, it failed to blind me.
I wanted to test my abilities against the entire world, so I left Cokson and became a sailor. After two years bouncing from ship to ship gaining experience and knowledge, I procured a contract for the merchant Tide as a sailor and a sellsword. I started on one of the smaller ships in Tide's fleet, named the Lizard Scale after its scalely captain, Motrosh, where I fought off pirates and sea monsters, alike. Through distinguished service, I was reassigned to Storm's ship, the Golden Coin. While serving as Storm's personal guard, the ship was destroyed by an extremely powerful unknown force. As far as I know, I am the only survivor.
I washed up on the southern shore of Bathur near Drester. I decided to enter the city to stock up on some supplies and then head to Üta in hopes of finding Tide and explaining what happened to Storm and the Golden Coin.
Eventually, I made it to Fowell, where I found the city under seige from weird, frog-like creatures. I fought some off and saved some people which won me some favor with Dewdrop, the current mayor of Fowell. I was going to continue towards Adendale, where Tide is, but the mayor explained that they have not received word from neither Adendale nor Pans in weeks. She suggested that I wait for a runner that she sent to come back from Adendale before heading out, and that, in the meantime, I could work in her guard to aid in the fight against those frog creatures.
