Born on the last day of dragons, Ajalaise has always known his life has purpose.... he just doesn't know what it is yet.

Ajalaise was born on dark day of history, the day his father, Ehrendil, died and the day the last of the dragons, a gold, died. While most historians would tell you dragons had died more than 100 years before this date, there were a few that knew differently. Secretly hidden in the lands far to the north, the last dragon had lived quietly and maintained a low profile, but those days were not to last forever. Ajalaise’s father had been befriended by the dragon, but to hear Aja’s mother tell the story, it was more of a bewitching.
Eventually the secret was revealed and the dragon hunters once again had prey to hunt. Many had grown fat and lazy, only carrying on the name and image of the dragon hunters, but lacked the knowledge and ability to actually hunt a dragon. This, combined with their arrogance, resulted in them losing quite a few in the battle with the last gold. But in the end, the dragon fell, and with her, Aja’s father.
The sorrow over the loss of Ehrendril caused Eowin, Aja’s mother to go into early labor and thus Aja was born the same day his father died, along with a twin brother, (NAME).
Fearing retribution on the family for hiding the dragon, Eowin fled the northlands as fast as she could and returned to the homelands of her mother to raise the boys. She had changed their names and the boys knew no other surname but Igashu.
