Personal history

Donka was taken in by a group of street orphans when she was young, she can’t remember life before then, but suspects she was turned out by the druids because of her terrible allergy to vervain, a natural herb filled with healing properties, she can’t even be in the same room as it without her face turning red and swelling until she’s unrecognisable.
 
With the orphans, Donka grew up on a life of crime, stealing to survive, but the guilt overwhelmed her and she would always return whatever was stolen, much to the anger of the other orphans.
 
When she was 11 she was hired by a sheriff to turn in those that stole, she turned in almost all of her fellow orphans, receiving a pretty penny and a roof over her head in return.
 
She worked for him for 6 years, in those six years she bought herself a lute and began to perform, at the local tavern each evening, eventually become such a sensation she left her position with the sheriff.
 
Donka fell in love with a young lizardfolk woman, they spent a full summer of love together before she succumbed to sickness and died in her arms, heartbroken she hadn’t been able to save her beloved, she committed herself to becoming a Druid so she would never be so helpless again.
 
She cut off the toe of her true love, her mission to one day gain the ability to regrow the rest of her from that single toe.
