Physical Description

chirp is a lythe, nimble build, that of a ballerina or a gymnast more than an athlete relying more on dexterity than strength to overwhelm his foes.

Body Features

chirp is devoid of many body features being as unmarked as the day he was born. he lacks any piercings, scars or marks, due to his good fortunes and dexterity.
 
his feathers formation resemble that of the hooded crow

Facial Features

chirp has a longer softer beak compared to his fellow Kenku party member Whiskey. the tips of his plumage adopt a white hue similar to the feathers on his breast. the feathers around his eye adopt this same colour forming the shape of teardrops as the push out across his face.
 
chirp has soft rounded features and large pretty eyes.

Identifying Characteristics

chirps most identifying features are his feathers formation and beak. his feather formation resembling that of the hooded crow with white feathers around his breast, around the outsides of his eyes, the tips of his plumage and fingers. the feathers on the rest of his body are an ashy gray colour

chirp will often chirp in birdsong when nervous or scared.

chirp wears a one shoulder eastern monk robe of orange colour. over the top of this he wears a more anglicised monk rove that has been cut down the middle. this brown monk robe is oversized and ill fitting. often having the sleeves be oversized.

chirp is specialized is speedy agile manoeuvres often being quick with his fingers and agile on the battlefield. these skills are gained from being a charlatan and slightly conning folks while gambling.

Mentality

Education

chirp is un-educated. the closest chirp comes to a typical learning environment is his sensei, student relation with his master Kel. from this relationship he was able to learn all he knows about being a monk, from this man he learned how to punch, and how to take a hit. chirp saw this Kel as a surrogate father figure.
 
when he disappeared he assumed it was the disease and proceeded to cry about the situation eventually he was consoled by Nett. telling him that his master would still be with him always and that chirp would make Master Kel proud
 
everything else chirp has learned is self educated and taught from his adoptive elf family.

Employment

chirps only form of employment is fulltime gambler and swindeler. taking the money from schmucks who decide to play against someone who has been cheating the entire time. because of this occupation he quickly needed to learn how to evade and have swift fingers.

Accomplishments & Achievements

chirp managed to get away with cheating a group of Drow out of a substantial amount of money. this group is infuriated by this and has a vendetta against chirp.
 
chirp managed to defeat the colossal flesh mound in the centre of Yarlton and then saved Gaye from death. for this chirp is extremely proud due to being terrified all the way through the fight.
 
chirp is very happy with his forged fake newspapers often reading them for his own amusement. along side that he is extremely proud of his alter identity of Matches. seeing the effort he puts in as a worthwhile expense for good quality fakery.
 
chirp came third place in a drinking contest.
 
chirp was deemed extremely adorable by the women within the tavern often taking their attention while they were free or on breaks. chirp loved their attention and friendship.
 
one time chirp managed to cheat a man out of his left foot. to which chirp revealed he cheated and ran away unable to be chased.

chirp got caught using his fake Detectives Badge, to which caused chirp great shame about his own craftmanship.

chirp got cornered by a gang of thugs whom he gambled with, and as vengeance they kicked chirp till he was battered and bruised. chirp went home bloodied and bruised; unable to eat due to a lack of money or food in the house.
 
chirp tried to defend himself with a great sword however its size and weight were too much of a toll and he fell over leading to a large beating from the folks he swindled.
 
multiple attempts to steal foods from guards failed with them knowing that matches wasn't really a detective and recognising chirp by knowing him or being aware that a detective within the town as he would be within the books.
 
chirp holds great guilt over the disappearance of nett. seeing her going missing as a fault of his, that he didn't protect her enough.

Mental Trauma

chirp hates the idea of loss. being raised in a town full of disease, seeing all the people he loves and cares for slowly die of sickness fills him with trauma. chirp is constantly afraid everyone who cares about him will die. he greatly fears loss often crying when the people he cares about die, or seemingly die.
 
the burning of his home town was both a catharsis and horrific visual for chirp. on one hand, the disease would burn away and he would be safe from monsters. it ended the hell of his previous life; seeing those he love die and fall around him, depicting in a visual form how the town really was. on the other hand that's his home town he lived in for all his life. and now its gone and he can never go back, he no longer has a home. for all its faults he can never go back.
 
chirp resents his parents abandonment seeing them as not giving a shit about him and just deciding not to care for him.

chirp likes books but really only likes fiction. finding the fantastical scenarios and interesting history of these worlds interesting to explore. the premise of seeing the world through other eyes fascinates chirp. he often dreams about living in these worlds.

chirp is very black and white when it comes to morality. you are either a friend or aren't … if you aren't a friend then swift punches are a valid response to your request not to be a friend.
 
not every not friend deserves punches but if you are not a friend chirp will not be happy to be around not friends and will distrust not friends. chirp knows however that not friends can be useful and sometimes not punching is a wise idea.
 
chirp hates to cheat and scam but sees the scam as a means to an end and that they will eventually forgive him if he admits to his fault. "A lie is ok if you admit its a lie"
 
chirp sees the world ending as an oppurtunity to enjoy whatever you have left. games of chance, fine music and performances, escapism and play is all you have left. smile while you still can.
 
helping and trying to help those you care about is all that matters. they arent gonna be around forever so being there for them while they are around is important.

Motivation

chirp is often motivated by shiny's. stuff like gold and silver or other assorted metals. he is willing to go to any length for these. eventually the search will pay out and allow for even more shiny's.
 
chirp loves gambling and games of chance, seeing the opportunity for a higher and higher pay-out as motivation for continuing a streak. if there is the opportunity to get more money he will continue on ahead for the opportunity for more money.
 
chirp can get demotivated however if he doesn't see a pay-out coming, seeing the events as a wasted venture.

chirp has a very good friendship with Gaye. seeing her almost like an older sister. he tends to use more intemate quotes for her as a way to establish a closeness that the others dont quite have with him.
