The Journey Begins

Today we arrived in Twobridge. Everyone is relieved to find some shade from the heat. As I lay down to sleep I cannot help but feel The Wall looming in the distance. I am not excited to enter that range again, but my recent research seems to imply that this is the true path of the Walker. Cirethoel send that this is not yet another lie, set to prevent us from completing our journey.

Ah yes, I almost forgot. Some interesting horsemen joined our caravan today. They claimed to be in the employ of Durant. I can only hope that this is the truth, I would hate for the Maidens to have to kill them.

Planning, planning, packing, and planning. Today has been a day of gathering wagon parts and preserved food.

The Outsiders caught up with us this evening. They seemed somewhat harried and more than a little worried, but otherwise okay. They decided that we should spend one more day in Twobridge to rest up and prepare for the journey.

I am relieved to have their council once more. The Maidens are exceptional warriors, but are more accustomed to the battlefield than wilderness exploration, and though I myself have some capacities in this regard, their assistance allows me to stick to more mundane and. . . safer practices for staying alive in the wilderness.

This day was a peaceful day of prayer and relaxation. And of course more planning. All of which is much needed if we are going to cross The Wall.

The Outsiders spent the day gathering information from the locals. Apparently some hobgoblins with facial tattoos came through here a few days ago. This is worrisome, but not surprising. Denol has always been crafty, and his servants likewise. I would claim a race, but in honesty our caravan will not be able to catch whatever squad they have deployed for the mission. I only hope that we do not lag so far behind that our efforts are in vain. . . .
