Appearance
Physical Description
Lenora is a pint sized woman compared to her peers at the Croswell house. Being sickly all throughout her life she tended to always stay slim. She looks meekly from the outside.
Identifying Characteristics
After the events that occured surrounding the angels on Christmas Day 1793, Lenora had both arms forcibly removed by the angels after refusing to leave her husband's side. However, the head priest knew some secrets of Tue God Machine and with the help of the Croswell House's butler, Leo, was able to have both arms replaced with shiny mercury ones. The left arm is inlayed with a silver and green rosary, which Lenora meant to give to her husband, Isaac, for Christmas. However, she was never able to give it to him and now it serves as a reminder for the duty she must finish. Across where a wedding ring would be placed is Isaac's name. While they are able to be covered with skin, Lenora tends to just leave the metal exposed and wears long sleeves and gloves to hide them.
Apparel & Accessories
Lenora tends to wear all black. Arthur once joked it suited her job well so she stuck to it. However, on occasion, she's seen wearing dark green or dark brown. Her dress is similar to a middle class woman in the 1790's, however, she does not like bonnets. As of recent, she has taken to wearing black cotton gloves as well.
Special abilities
She's a mage in the death & matter arcana.

Personal history
Lenora Grimdark was born in 1761 outside Charlestown.
Age 6 (1767) - Lenora's father passed away due to illness.
Age 7 (1768) - Mother starts working for a wealthy British family in Charlestown. Lenora was lucky to learn to read and write there, taught by one of the houses' children. Lenora did also help around the house, but her sickly nature often landed her the background tasks to prevent illness in the house.
Age 14 (1775) - Revolutionary War breaks out. Since Lenora and her mother worked for a family who favored the British, things were going troublesome. Fears of the family leaving and dropping all of their hires were evident.
Age 18 (1779) - Lenora finds her mother's corpse as a result of suicide. She never knew why her mother ended her own life but never felt the need to know.
Age 19 (1780) - Lenora falls ill. The family she worked for put her into a hospital then left her to die.
Age 20 (1781) - "Died" due to illness but awoke as a mage. A mage that worked in the hospital took notice and got Lenora out, taking her to Boston. There she joined the Mysterium.
Age 21 (1782) - Started working as a hangman in Boston and began working alongside Arthur.
Age 24 (1785) - Met her future husband, Isaac Hazelton while he was travelling through town. Managed to keep him around long enough to settle down with him.
Age 26 (1787) - Married Isaac, taking his last name. She began to seriously research a way to get rid of her magic to be with Isaac, but had to often stay in Boston while he traveled. Arthur watched over her during this time.
Age 32 (1793) - "Broke into" the Croswell House, believing the key to curing the disease known as "magic" was in there. Was caught and forced to make a deal with the Croswells.

Personality
Motivation
Lenora's MAIN goal is to find a way to reverse a mage's awakening. She sees magic as a sort of disease. Being a mage is like being ill. Realistically, there should be a way to cure it. Her justification for a while was so that she could live a peaceful and normal life with her husband. However, once he showed up and told her that he'd seen God and became an angel, she's sort of had to reanalyze her wish and motivation.
After the events that occured on Christmas Day, Lenora simply wants her husband's suffering to end. After witnessing what happened to Samuel, she finally snapped out of her delusions and took it upon herself to stop whatever had taken over her husband and whatever it is inside of him that's causing the Isaac she's always known to suffer like that.

Contacts & Relations
Croswell House
Victoria Croswell - Head of the Croswell House. At first Lenora was terrified of her, but has slowly begun to realize that Victoria is just an interesting case. She doesn't mind helping her, since her and Isaac's safety is secured with her. She just wishes she would stop throwing temper tantrums from time to time.
Richard - One of Victoria's "men", a werewolf who tends to drink his weight in alcohol on a daily basis. He's nice to Lenora as she is also one of the outcasts of the Croswell house. Lenora doesn't really understand why Victoria and the others treat him so terribly.
Alistar - No particular opinions.
Leo & Eliza - The butler and maid of the Croswell house. Helps them with duties around the house. Still unsure about them other than that.
Boston Judiciary System/Mages
Arthur Leflur - Former head of the Guardian chapter in Boston/Town Magic Sheriff/Lenora's former boss and very close friend. Murdered.
Lenora very much cared for Arthur. He was the first one in Boston to treat her kindly, giving her a job to do and checking on her frequently. She cared about his opinion extremely, to the point that she waited for his blessing when marrying Isaac. She did have a slight crush on him when they first met but quickly got over it. She will claim their relationship was just coworkers, but it was much more than that. She was extremely upset by his death. However, she knows Arthur lived an extremely fulfilling life, and does not want to contact his spirit to ask him what happened. Instead, she vowed to find his killer herself and bring them to justice herself.
William Houston
Became the new leader of the Guardians in Boston after Arthur's death. Another user of the Death arcana. Declared another "witch hunt" in Boston after killing the local barkeep. Lenora's relationship with him is rather complicated. He offered her the same thing the Croswells currently are; assistance in her goals for assistance with his. Lenora sees where he is coming from: The Croswells were the wrong group to ask for help from regarding dealings in magic. However, she strongly dislikes the idea of helping the man that killed Arthur for his own personal goals. She wants to destroy his plans, simply put, in her own way, with assistance from the Croswells.
Samuel Lloyd
An angel who lives in Boston and spends time at the local bar. He is close to Richard. Has attempted to flirt with Lenora several times, but has seemed to back off. Lenora's husband-turned-angel, Isaac, has been put in charge of watching over him. Lenora is unsure about him, but tolerates him.
Selene Ward
"Owner" of the local tavern. Awakening as a mage soon, which Lenora is very interested in. Mostly for her own research. But, also with the current situation, she's concerned about her safety as a new mage awakening during such a strenuous time.
Morgan Leflur
Arthur's sister and a spacial/time mage. Lenora is still very unsure about how she feels about Morgan. She isn't sure if she trusts her or not. However, if anyone is going to help handle's Arthur's murder, it would be her.
Family Ties
Isaac Hazelton
An average looking, tall lanky man who travelled to various colonies treating the ill and pushing his own "cures". Lenora fell in love with him because he didn't push away the ill, like she had been in the past. A kind and quiet man, wearing large spectacles and his face covered in freckles.
Once she entered the Croswell House, his letters became less frequent. However, he randomly returned one day, when the Croswells planned on having an evening gathering. Lenora was asked to bring him. However, there it was revealed what had happened to him and why he had stopped writing. He had entered the God Forge and met God, becoming the living embodiment of Prudence, and tasked with protecting Samuel, another angel that had come into town. He was no longer Isaac, but also still was Isaac.
Lenora is still madly in love with Isaac. She considers him to be the one joy she was given in her life. Now she is learning to love this "new" Isaac, but is struggling to come to terms with the reality of the situation. She wishes to continue to be by his side.
During the ritual that took place on Christmas Day, Lenora was adamant about her position to always be on Isaac's side. However, it quickly changed. As Samuel laid in pain, it snapped in her brain that it Isaac probably went through this as well, but he never got the choice that Samuel got. With a deep breath, she pushed Samuel towards a decision, but stayed by his side even after things went to shit. She refused to leave his side, even if it meant risking her life. Unfortunately their time together was cut short, as Ava, the Angel of Faith, severed Lenora's arms straight off. Lenora was dragged away, and awoke to find out that Isaac had gone to aid William. She knows what he turned into, and she knows how much more he's suffering, and she simply wants to put an end to it so that the two of them can be happy.
