Interesting Company

I've attended many a funeral in my time, an unfortunate reality that comes with being an old man in an occupation where many die young.
 
You'd be surprised at the amount of drama that occurs. I've seen a widows sorrows turn to rage at the arrival of her husbands mistress. I've heard eloquent speeches praising the deceased from the mouth of his most bitter rivals. On more than one occasion I've participated in familial brawls and disputes, and been the cause of no less than twelve myself.
 
Still, I wasn't prepared for a woman to stake her claim on my daughter-in-law, at my son's wake no less.
