Personal history

Julian is a Cleric who proudly stands up for his God Iomedae who stands for law and justice. He grew up in a big city with people from different parts of the world but in it lived mostly elves and humans. As a young man he decided to go the way of the church and chose to become a Cleric and served in the city's local defense/Militia and helped people around the city territory. Which also gave him a positive attitude towards elves as he saw himself often both collaborating and helping them. However, after protecting an elf village near the big city from a raid orchestrated by a war band of orcish mercenaries who murdered one of his closest comrades during the battle, a female elf named Tehlarissa Qinwynn, he felt disgust for both the city's corrupt leadership but even worse, his aversion to orcs and necromancers and embarked on a personal crusade where he promised himself to cleanse these scum from the Earth.
Although to some extent seen as extreme to do withing the local church, he was allowed to go on his own adventure by Bishop Michael Mitsadros who gave him a sacred symbol as proof if needed.
He never told Tehlarissa what he really felt for her. All he has left in her memory is an amulet with the insignia of the Church and the name and rank of the bearer.
 
He sees the doctrine of the church as law and actively looks down on people of other faiths, however, other Cleric / Paladin gods can be accepted. Even though he hates pagans, it is his moral duty to help these people in case of need even if he needs to sacrifice his own life. Since he mostly spent time in front of books and sacred texts, he sometimes finds it difficult to communicate with ordinary people. He is usually busy appreciating and spreading his objectively correct faith.
