Solius Blanchard is an elven nobleman and adventurer from the Kingdom of Kyonin on the continent of Aviston on Golarion. He is active on the island of Kotoros, in and around the town of Otari.
Solius's Story
Solius was born around the middle of the 46th century AR to an elven noble family of middling renown and influence. Even "medium" nobility in Kyonin meant a life of privilege and means. But it also meant of life of responsibility and expectations. To that end, as a child, Solius played the dutiful offspring. He attended to all the schooling and training called for from a young nobleman. Then, when he came of age, he dutifully joined his homeland's military for his two decades of service.
All the while, his fun-loving and outgoing nature meant Solius made many friends. One of these was another nobleman who served with Solius during skirmishes between the elves and their neighbors to the west; an elf named Tannin Garandar. The two became fast friends but this did not last. A difficult mission for Solius's friend ended in tragedy and Tannin was shouldered with all the blame. The ignominy eventually drove Solius' friend into exile.
Following his service, Solius returned home, seemingly content to live out a leisurely existence. The fact that his older brother, Volius was the one with all the familial responsibility helped fuel Solius' carefree outlook on life. But a carefree life was not in the cards for Solius. There were fresh controversies that arose and eventually, Solius himself was compelled to go explore foreign shores. So, after a period of revelry and celebration of his going away "to pursue adventure", Solius left home. He travelled south and eventually found his way to the island of Kotoros.
Solius's Description and Mannerisms
Solius is, generally speaking, a happy and carefree person. He enjoys good company and good food and drink to go with that company above all else. He likes that others are happy when they are around him and he strives constantly to see that they are. This makes him seem to most like he is the life of the party and he so often is.
His dedication to Iomedae means that Solius is a very different person when the circumstances are serious. In times of worship, he works just as hard to exalt his church as he does in furthering his leisurely pursuits. And, on the field of battle, he treats the situation with the deadly seriousness it requires. Solius is equally adept with supporting and defending his comrades as he is with striking enemies down when the opportunities present themselves.
The elven nobleman looks every bit the part. Solius is not the tallest elf in the world but his long blond hair and angular features combined with an unmarred complexion are all indicative of his ancestry. And his luxurious armor and clothing reveal that he is of means.
