Who is CooledCross?
An independent archaeologist, historical interpreter, entertainer, voice actor and Low-Fantasy Dungeon Master.
He is a Higher Diploma holder in Archaeology, a City a Guilds of London in Digital/Video Production, the recipient of a Bronze Presidents Award, and Member of The Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland since 2015.
His primary research interest is High and Late (Later) Medieval Ireland and Europe, in particular vernacular settlements and towns. Outside of this he is also well versed in experimental archaeology, living history and bushcraft.
A creator and Dungeon Master of Guard Academy based in the 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons system, played Lt. Alex 'Taz' Carter in Purple Hazing (Warhammer 40k Only War) and Sgt. Esk Hadurr in Spice Wars (Star Wars: Edge of Empire).
Active Projects and Forthcoming Work:
Currently a number of books are in the works; including a pocket book on primitive survival skills, an overview on Later Medieval Ireland, and a revised edition of his thesis on Galway: City and People 1124-1652 for publication.
